This is one of my favorite recipes. You can serve them for playoff parties or even make dinner out if them. My mom introduced me to this recipe.
Momma Pat made them for a dear friend’s housewarming party.

Polynesian Chicken Wings
Serves 4

  • 3 pounds chicken wings
  • 1 cup pineapple preserves
  • 1/2 cup sherry
  • 1/2 cup frozen orange juice concentrate
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

Chop off the wing tips; discard them. Cut each wing into 2 pieces.

(You can also purchase wingettes, which are precut)

Place the wings in a glass-baking dish. Combine the remaining ingredients and pour this mixture over the wings. Marinate overnight in the refrigerator. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Remove the wings from the marinade and place them in shallow pan. Pour 1 cup of marinade liquid over. Bake 1 hour.
